How To Measure

Please use this comprehensive guide to assist you with taking your measurements.

Renée Strauss for the Bride cannot assume responsibility for the measurements taken or the size ordered. The customer is responsible for the size ordered.

Renée Strauss for the Bride cannot suggest a specific size.

If you are unable to come into Renée Strauss, for best results we suggest either a professional seamstress or tailor take your measurements.

Designers determine their sizes by the bust, waist and hip measurements. See below for measuring tips!

Taking the Bust Measurement

Stand straight, heels together, arms at your sides.

Tape should be drawn across widest part of back and fullest part of bust.

Keep thumb behind tape and do not pull tightly.

Taking the Waist Measurement

Standing straight, bend to your side: The bend is your natural waist.

Stand straight, keeping heels together.

Place the measuring tape around your natural waist.

Keep thumb behind tape and do not pull tightly.

Taking the Hip Measurement

Stand straight, heels together, arms at your sides.

Position measuring tape around the widest part of your hips.

Keep thumb behind tape and do not pull tightly.

The MEASURED LENGTH is TYPICALLY measured with the heel height you have chosen to wear on your special day. Evening the Hemline may be required and will be charged for in alterations. If you are 5'10" or taller with shoes, OR IF THE HEMLINE OF YOUR DRESS HAS INTRICATE DETAIL THAT CANNOT BE REMOVED IN ALTERATIONS, you may need measured length. Price varies by designer.

Sizes are generic. Garments are not made to measure. Alterations are not included and should in most cases, be expected.

We will gladly advise you of sizing, but as the purchaser, you make the final decision.

Please note: Sizes 2 or smaller, or 18 or greater are TYPICALLY subject to an additional charge determined by the designer. Prices may vary. Contact the consultant at Renée Strauss for more info. The charge will be added to your total at the time of processing.

The order you are submitting is a final sale and no refunds or cancellations are allowed by the manufacturer of your garment(s) or Renée Strauss for the Bride. In the event there is a status change on your order within 72 hours and an exception is approved, there will be a cancellation fee deducted from the amount of the deposit you have made. This amount is $500 PER ITEM to cover overhead expenses. Your refund will reflect this deduction. There are no exceptions to this clause. By submitting this order to Renée Strauss for the Bride you are accepting this contract.

All payments paid by credit card confirms a satisfied customer
and the waiver of the right to cancel your purchase. Any merchandise other than stock is special ordered and cut for you.

You will receive an email with order information. Please retain it for your records as it will act as your confirmation.
